After a year (or 2) off due to the pandemic- I can’t wait to hear Lee Greenwood sing, “I’m Proud to be an American!” as the fireworks light up the sky. Things are feeling a little more “normal” as annual 4th of July celebrations are coming back in Central Ohio- including July 1st Red, White and Boom. Here are some places around Central Ohio where you can celebrate our Freedom!

Friday, July 1, 2022
- Columbus: Red, White and Boom is back on the Scioto Mile, parade and street fair during the day, fireworks begin at 10 pm on July 1.
- Granville: Granville’s Fourth of July celebration will run from July 1-4 . Fireworks will be held on Friday, July 1 at 10 p.m. at Wildwood Park. A Fourth of July parade will be held on July 4 .
- Obetz: Famous Fortress Fireworks from 6-10 on July 1
- Reynoldsburg: Renoldsburg’s Fourth of July celebration and fireworks will be held on July 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, July 2, 2022
- Grove City: Grove City’s Fourth of July fireworks will be held at 9:50 p.m. on July 2.
- Hilliard: Freedom Fest events and entertainment will begin at3 p.m. at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
Sunday, July 3, 2022
- Whitehall: Whitehall’s Fourth of July fireworks will be held on July 3 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Monday, July 4, 2022
- Ashville: Ashville’s Fourth of July Celebration will be held from June 30 to July 4. Its fireworks display will be at 10 p.m. on July 4.
- Bexley: Fourth of July in Bexley will begin at 8 a.m. on July 4 with the John Barr 5K. Fireworks will be set off at 10 p.m. following a day full of events.
- Chillicothe:. Fireworks at 9:45 pm
- Delaware: The City of Delaware’s Fourth of July fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. on July 4.
- Dublin: Dublin’s Fourth of July celebration will begin with a fishing derby at 8 a.m. on July 4 and will be followed by a parade at 11 a.m. in downtown Dublin. Fireworks will be set off around 9:50 p.m. following a celebration at Dublin Coffman High School.
- Lancaster: Lancaster’s Fourth of July parade and fireworks will be held on Monday, July 4.
- Marion: The Fourth of July falls during the Marion County Fair (7/4-9) and evening events will end with a fireworks show beginning at 10 p.m. on July 4 at the Marion County Fairgrounds.
- Mount Vernon: Mount Vernon’s Fourth of July fireworks will begin around 10 p.m. on July 4 at the Ariel-Foundation Park.
- New Albany: New Albany’s Fourth of July parade will be held at 11 a.m. on July 4. Fireworks will start around 10 p.m.
- Pickerington: Pickerington’s Fourth of July fireworks will be held on July 4 at 10 p.m. The July 4th celebration parade will be on July 4 at 10 a.m.
- Plain City: Plain City’s Fourth of July celebration will be held on July 4 at Pastime Park. Parade will start at 10 am. Following live music that begins at 7 p.m., fireworks will start at 9:45 p.m.
- Sunbury: Sunbury’s Fourth of July celebration will start at 8 a.m. at Sunbury Square and go through the day. Fireworks will begin at dusk at Big Walnut High School.
- Upper Arlington: Upper Arlington’s Fourth of July celebration will be held on July 4. A parade will begin at 9 a.m. and at 5 p.m., Party in the Park begins. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m.
- Westerville: Westerville’s day-long Independence Day celebration will be held on July 4. The day will be capped off with fireworks at 10 p.m. at Heritage Park.
- Worthington: Worthington Hills parade begins at 12pm, The fireworks display will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m on July 4th at Thomas Worthington High School (TWHS).
