Buffalo Check Rug Perfect for Farmhouse Style Front Door Mat Layering

What you’ll need first is a Buffalo check or buffalo plaid throw rug. I have listed a couple for you below. Then you layer on top any other coir or front door rug. Voila, a farmhouse chic way to greet guests.

In the picture with my “hello” rug, I literally found that at Ollies for $7! I have seen the plain cor mats for even less, and you could add your own design.  I “just” bought a new Christmas mat from Big Lots and I can’t wait to see how it looks!

I personally like the first rug below (the one I bought and is pictured above) because it has the colors on both horizontal edges.At the time of posting that one has an extra Amazon coupon to “clip” too! But the traditional buffalo check looks great as well as varied colors.
