“You’ve got a friend in me, … You just remember what your old pal said. Boy, you’ve got a friend in me”
You can’t listen to the words of that song and not think of the Disney/Pixar fave Toy Story. Well since it’s the summer of bringing back the classics (First Aladdin and soon Lion King), then it just made sense to revisit Woody, Buzz, Bo Peep and all the gang (plus some new “friends”) in Toy Story 4. #ToyStory4
Once again the Toy Story toys find themselves on an adventure- in the name of love and loyalty. And Woody leads them all with his dedication to his “kid”. Well, he does have some help from newly found Bo Peep. In the end, it’s a heartwarming tale that we would expect from this crew of childhood favorites.
One of the things I loved about this movie was the advancements in the animation. I mean Bo Peep literally looks like porcelain (which I am not sure I realized before, and the clinking of the sheep’s feet- perfect). Pixar animation has always been awesome, but the technological advancements that have happened since 1995 (um yeah, that’s when the first one came out, I didn’t realize it was 24 years ago!) add beautiful dimension to this story.
And for those wondering if those mannequin’s a scary… not really. But… wait for it… 😉 (I’ll leave that one there for suspense).
While this was certainly not our favorite Toy Story, it is certainly another move that parents (for nostalgia) and kids (for the sheer fun) will enjoy together.
And just because it’s an excuse to post this pic again… My Woody, Buzz and Bo Peep recommend this with 6 thumbs up! (photo circa 2010!)
Why do I post about Disney, Marvel and DreamWorks Movies? Because they are fun! I receive all kinds of great info to share with you about the newest films. In return, I often get to see a pre-screen of these movies. Then I can tell you if you should spend your money on a ticket… or wait for DVD!
