See this simple greeting card display idea to use those Christmas cards in your holiday decor. And it can be swapped out for the next season’s decoration too.
I just received my first Holiday greeting card in the mail. I love that this tradition has not died in out digital era. There is just something special about seeing the faces and reading the handwriting of family and friends this time of year. And actually, they make a great “free” decor item too? Are you looking for a new way to display holiday greeting cards? Usually I go with a simple greeting card garland, but check out this new way. And it can be changed out for the next season too!
Picture Perfect Holiday Greeting Card Display Idea
As I was strolling through At Home stores the other day (picking up my kitchen barstools) I noticed a whole aisle of glassless frames. My creative juices got flowing and I picked up two – in different sizes and colors. Then I came across these adorable little glitter clothes pins and I knew right away these would be great for displaying holiday cards.
It’s as easy as attaching cord, ribbon or fishing line on the back of each frame. You can see I used the cord from the clothes pins package on one and finishing line on the other. A piece of packing tape works just fine for this application (since those cards don’t really have weight). For the cord I just used regular thumb tacks. You can also vary how the cord is placed. On one frame I did a kind of zig-zag pattern and on the other just straight across.
Then as your cards come in, attach them with the clothes pins, paper clips or for folded card just drape on the line.
