Easy Way to Make Hard Boiled Eggs
Since we usually only make them once a year, I always have to give myself a refresher on how to make hard boiled eggs. But recently I have heard some talk of an easier way. So this year I decided to learn how to make hard boiled eggs in the oven. And let me tell you it’s an easy peasy way to cook eggs.
How to Make Hard Boiled Eggs in the Oven
Not only is this process an easy way to cook hard boiled eggs, it also results in a perfect hard boiled egg. Win, Win. Here are the steps:
- Preheat oven to 325-350 degrees. My oven cooks hot, so I opted for the lower 325 temp.
1. Cook the eggs in muffin tins– this will keep them “in place”. (Note- I think my old metal pans had a reaction to the eggs while cooking. That is why you see some spots on the shells when they are done. No worries, I just dyed the eggs to cover it up. Next time I will try a silicone muffin pan)
2. How long to cook hard boiled eggs in the oven will vary by oven. Mine were done in 25 min. I would say between 20-30 min. (and I didn’t really have to watch them like traditional hard boiled egg technique)
3. Take out of muffin tins and carefully place in a bowl of cold water to cool the eggs before coloring.
4.Voila! Perfect, Easy Hard Boiled Eggs!
