We decided to stay home again this year for Spring Break. There are plenty of fun staycation opportunities right here in our own backyard. And when I say “backyard”, I literally mean it! We had the opportunity to have some high flying family fun right here in Columbus (Worthington).
I am talking about ZipZone Canopy Tours off 23 N at Camp Mary Orton. ZipZone provides a hands free, professionally guided zip line tour in the treetops beautiful Central Ohio.
ZipZone has several tour options- we opted for the full 2 hour canopy tour. (Although my daredevil oldest son REALLY wants to go back and try the “free fall” on the Zip Rush tour). Our awesome guides (2 per small group tour) got all all strapped in and gave us the ground rules. And then we left the ground and they lead us over bridges, onto treetop platforms and of course flying across the zip lines.
As our kiddos get older, it’s so fun to expand our ideas on what we can do as a family. The twins were just above the cutoff for age and weight requirements (50+ lbs and at least 7). Hubs was a little tense about how “free” the rest of us felt. 😉 But I thought hanging off the edge of those platforms with my kiddos was a blast! It was such a wonderful experience and certainly fond memory made.
Are you ready for an adventure? Head on over to ZipZone online and schedule your tour today. And yes they do offer some discounts. If you book now, you can get preseason pricing (book by 5/18). They also offer AAA, group and scouting discounts as well. Also be sure to follow them on social media. Companies always love a shout out- especially when you are having a great time!
ZipZone hosted my family for a day of fun in return for writing this review. All opinions are my own- and yes we really did have a blast!
