Graduation season is upon us. I love to see all the pictures on social media of high school and college students in their caps and gowns. The parent’s faces are full of joy and the grads faces are full of optimism about what the future holds.
Really they are beginning a new chapter in their life’s journey. If you are looking for a gift for the grad in your life, Max Lucado has a wonderful book to encourage them as they begin this new adventure. “Let the Journey Begin” is a compilation gem full of Lucado’s simple wisdom and biblical foundations.
Also, you are planning on giving your grad a gift card (or a check) to honor their accomplishments- why not tuck it inside this book! Or, include the book along with any gift really! I found my niece some fun monogramed stationary (because it seems very grown up) and created an inspirational bible verse picture for her. The verse is Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the plans I have for you, in French! (She went on a mission trip to Paris earlier this year.) I think this verse ties in perfectly with the journey Lucado discusses within the pages of this little book.
I love that this book also includes pages in the back for documenting personal goals, favorite verses of scripture, and prayers. How fun for the grad to go back to these pages 5-10 yrs from now and see all the ways God had plans for their journey!
