My niece is graduating from college next weekend. I can’t believe she is all grown up now! And what an amazing young lady she has become. A few months ago she went on a missions trip to Paris. I thought it would be nice to create a graduation gift for her with a French flair!
I had already bought these fun monogramed stationery items. We “share” a name so I just loved the bright pink “M”. And those stripes were the inspiration for creating a matching framable print. I just snapped a picture of the stripes on the journal to use as the backdrop. Then I created this quote print (it’s Jeremiah 29:11 -in French!) using the HP Photo Creations app from MyPrintly.com, on my macbook.
I bought this gold frame as well. Volia (that’s french too! 😉 ) I have a nice little matching set to give her for graduation. Here’s how to make one for your grad:
- Download HP Photo Creations from MyPrintly.com( FYI- Mac users this is an “app” and will likely load to your Launchpad after download. Just in case, like me, you can’t find where it saved)
- Choose your creation (cards, collage, calendars, business items and more). I picked “Design Your Own” Collage in 5X7 size
- I started by adding the picture of my stripes as the backdrop and then layered design items on top. The white shape is a “button” from the Graphic menu. You can add additional photos and test too.
- When I was finished I printed my design on 5X7 HP photo paper on my HP Envy printer
I also noticed when I was on MyPrintly.com, that they have a greeting card mobile app too. I decided to try it out to make my niece a card as well. I love how you can pull pics from your camera roll and social media (like Instagram!). Watch this little video about the card I made.
