Third Thursday Repurpose: Pencil Pouch for Toiletries

Repurposed Pencil Pouch for Toiletries from Clearance Find

It’s time for the Third Thursday Repurpose post.  Each month I bring you a great idea for repurposing items that would have been headed to the trash or recycling bin. There are so many items in our homes that we can reuse and repurpose (instead of sending to the land fill)  As my Father-in-law says “if you use something twice, it costs half as much”>>>tweet this!

So this month’s Repurposed item is one that you may or may not have at your house- a pencil pouch.  I did not have these at my house, however, I saw them on school supply clearance for super cheap.

RePurposed Pencil Pouch for Toiletries

Recently we have gone on a few over night trips and my son now has contact lens “paraphernalia” that has to travel with us.  My daughter also has asthma meds.  So everyone in the family is starting to have separate toiletry needs.  I thought it would be perfect to repurpose pencil pouches as toiletry kits to keep each person’s stuff in one place.  And the clear window makes it great to see who it belongs too (color coding is good idea too).  I also thought a carabiner clip would be good to add on for when they go on an overnight or at camp without me (clip right onto their suitcase).  And compared to the price of buying an actual toiletry or “dopp” kit.  I think this is a thrifty alternative!

Would love to hear your thoughts on this one! Reply below!
