Ok so I am a little late on the whole setting goals for the year thing. But that is a little bit my MO. I often joke about “not being Type A” or being a procrastinator. Discipline is not my thing I say (especially with exercise, daily quiet time and eating). YET… there are certainly parts of my life in which I take full control. When I find a deal or get a great DIY idea in my head, I want to blog about it right away and have the pics and post be just right. And rarely do I leave for shopping without checking my coupons first.
While blogging and coupons are wonderful aspects of my life- they aren’t even close to the top of the priority list. But my actions don’t always show evidence of that. Everyday life takes over and each day’s interactions can become mundane. So that is why the word INTENTIONAL has been coming back to me the last two weeks. I need to be more intentional about all aspects of my life. Most importantly my walk with God and my role as wife and mother.
In·ten·tion·al (adj.) 1. Done deliberately; intended. 2. Characterized by conscious design or purpose
1 Timothy 4:15-16
15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
So there it is. I have put my goal out there publicly. I will “be diligent” to live “on purpose” in 2014! What is your word of the year?
