As you may have heard, as of June 25th Zaycon Fresh has “suspended operations”. This announcement was made on the Zaycon website and some people received emails (I did not). So this has left many questions about the future of the company.
For some background, Zaycon has been around for at least 10 years. A family owned company providing quality, bulk meat purchases direct from the distributor. I personally have been a happy Zaycon customer for several years. That’s why I started to share their great deals with you. (Yes I was part of their Influencer program and earned commissions from sales- but I honestly really believed in this company and product)
Unfortunately in the last year, from what I understand, they took on private investors and the company has gone down hill. And now the site is down, the Facebook page is gone, the phones have been disconnected and rumors of bankruptcy being filled. So what do we do now?
If you have outstanding orders that are set to deliver this week, I would still go to those deliveries. Unless you receive notice that it has been canceled, I have heard of some (outstanding) delivery drivers still making their scheduled deliveries this week- even though they are no longer employed by the company.
If you have outstanding future orders, like I do in October, I would start the process to get your money back. You do that by placing a dispute with your Credit Card company, Bank or vial PayPal. It may take 30-90 days to be refunded, but there are safeguards in place for this kind of thing and you should see your money back.

Over all this is a sad situation on many levels. I am going to miss the amazing quality meat at the great prices. But I am also sad about a great company taking a turn for the worse and the employees hurt in the wake.
