Last fall I was just a few months into blogging on my new baby here on Mission to Save, when I decided it was time for me to attend my first blogging conference. I have to admit Bloggy Conference 2012 caught my attention for two reasons: 1.) Proximity. (Just a jump away from me in Cincinnati) 2.) Price. (Seriously cheap compared to other conferences)
But I quickly learned that Bloggy Con held much more value than just the price. Never once did I feel like any of us were competitors striving for the same piece of the virtual pie. Instead, everyone (speakers, attendees and organizers) was striving to help each and offer support. What a wonderful environment for my first conference experience. This welcoming atmosphere allowed me to really concentrate on what was most important- strengthening my blogging platform and networking.
It is also apparent that the wonderful women behind Bloggy Con value family! The appearance of infants in strollers and slings spoke volumes to valuing us not only as “bloggers” but wives, mothers and more! This is shown again this year through the venue for Bloggy Conference 2013. Thanks so much to Tiffany for working so hard to secure the Cedar Point location. Not only will I be able to learn more about growing my business, but nurture my family relationship too (something that can be difficult to juggle). Plus, I am an Ohio blogger and am totally stoked about CP! Best amusement park ever! 😉
Another value to Bloggy Con is being able to connect with businesses. I really appreciate that Building Blog Bridges works to create “campaigns across responsive and trusted small to medium sized BLOG and social media platforms”. Often times the “little” guys get left out of the equation. We may be small in traffic, but our influence and more personal relationship with our readers can’t be measured in pure analylitics.
In closing, I hope you can see that I highly recommend Bloggy Con. It’s the best kind of value and an awesome return on your investment!
This post is an entry into the Building Blog Bridges giveaway I have entered for a chance to win one Bloggy Conference 2013 ticket.
