New way to save at Target – Cartwheel!
Target has added a new way to stack on the savings for in store purchases. It’s called Cartwheel.
You access Cartwheel at cartwheel.target.com on your computer, tablet, or mobile device and you have to have a Facebook account for it to work. But basically, you apply offers to your “cartwheel” worth a % off select items. The best news is that this savings can be use WITH both Target Store coupons AND Manufacture’s coupons! Yahoo! Bring on the savings. And right now there are a couple hundred discounts available in their “collections”.
There are two ways to choose your savings- look for specific items using a keyword search (like Banana Boat or Merona) or by browsing through the “collections”.
Once you add the discount to your cartwheel (you will only be able to add 10, but as you earn “badges” you will be able to add more- see my 15 limit above) then here is how you redeem them:
When you’re ready to purchase your items at a Target store, you can either print your Cartwheel barcode from your desktop at home, or you can use your mobile device in store to access your barcode using your mobile browser. When checking out, present your mobile or print barcode to the cashier just as you would any other coupon. The cashier will scan your barcode and you’ll automatically receive your savings on all of the Cartwheel offers on your list!
Each offer can be used up to 4 times per transaction and up to 6 transactions per day. And it stays active on your account until you remove it or it expires!
WOW! This is sounding better and better already! I think there will be some learning curve on both sides as they make final tweeks to this program. But already I am impressed. I used a 5% discount on a gift card promotion today (which also had a coupon stack too!). Note that the % discount come off the after coupons have been deducted.
These offers are great for the apparel. Not sure if it was a fluke or not but I used a 10% off Merona shoes Cartwheel on a pair of clearance shoes. The offer said it excluded clearance, but it came off anyway. Those barcodes are smart, so it must have know what it was doing! 😉 After % off and Target coupon I got a pair of $20 flats for just $4.48!
Don’t forget you can also score $0.05 off per reusable bag and 5% cash back if you use the Red Card too! (I still need to look into that one). AND use ShopKick coupons too (BTW, I got a Free $2 Target gift Card surprise last time I checked in with ShopKick!)! Is your head spinning with all the savings! 🙂
Have you used Cartwheel yet? What do you think?!
