Nationwide Summer Movie Programs for Kids

Classic Cinemas – Beginning June 8th, Wednesday Morning Movie Series. Each Wednesday morning at 10 am ticket prices are just $2. All movies are rated G or PG. See full list here.

Showcase Cinemas Bookworm Wednesdays (select locations) – Bookworm Wednesdays entitles kids to free admission to a select children’s film when they present a book report at a participating Showcase Cinemas box office. Tickets must be reserved in advance online or on the app and seating is limited.
Cineplex (Canada) – Attend Saturday mornings for Cineplex Family Favourites. Watch a family fave film each week for only $2.99 at participating locations. See movie list here.

Columbus Commons: There are 3 outdoor movies at the Columbus Commons this summer: May 28, June 24 and July 15 at 8:15 pm.
Easton Town Center: Movies by Moonlights, Tuesday evenings on the Town Square in June (movies to start at dusk). See list here.
Green Lawn Abbey: Movies Under the Stars events series on Fridays running June-Sept. Please note most of these films are 80s-90s movies (like “Lost Boys”, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Howard the Duck”, so not many are “children’s” films. City of Canal Winchester: 2 dates for Movies in the park. See details here.
City of Pickerington: 3 outdoor movies on Friday nights at Sycamore Creek Park Amphitheater Movies start at Dusk. See dates here (page 17).

Gateway Film Center (Columbus): Check out the From Book to Film Summer Adventure. In partnership with the Columbus Metropolitan Library, they’ll play a different movie inspired by a great book every week, all summer long (June 4 – Aug 1). And the best part? Regal Cinemas $1 Movie – All summer long you can see movies for just $1 a ticket for select PG movies! Showtimes are at 10 a.m. and a portion of proceeds goes to Will Rogers Institute. See locations and films.
