Single serve brewing machines are finding their way into home across the country. And now a new machine wants to perfect the single brew experience. Introducing the new iCoffee Single Brewing System Machines. This innovative line of coffee makers is changing the game in the “k-cup” market.
Speaking of which, yes- iCoffee systems do take all major k-style brands. This means you can pick up your favorite flavors to use. In fact I love that the iCoffee Opus (which I received for review) comes with an assortment of great brands of cups to get you started. And for you concerned with being more “green”, each iCoffee machine also comes with it’s own special reusable cup. So if you have a coffee snob in the house (ah-hem- my husband), they can still brew up their favorite bagged coffee too.
As I have told you all before, I am not a big coffee drinker- ok I don’t drink it at all. But I do love hot cider and cocoa. And our oldest loves a cup of camomile tea before bed. So thanks to the single serve options- we are all happy campers. Another feature on the iCoffee Opus machine is the “dial-a-brew”. You can indicate how many ounces you want to brew. If a certain flavor is just a little too strong, dial up a little more water to adjust the taste. Also this comes in handy if you just want to “brew” up a cup of hot water for steeped tea or even a cup of Lipton soup.
Another one of the great features of the iCoffee machines (and what sets them apart from other coffee makers) is the SpinBrew technology. See my Periscope video of the iCoffee SpinBrew technology in action. Basically, it uses a spinning needle with jets that spin, steam and stir the coffee inside the cups to ensure a full brew (and no grounds in your cup). They even ran sensory tests on the taste using SpinBrew. The Ohio State University’s Sensory Science Group found that coffee brewed with SpinBrew was “dramatically smoother with a more pleasant aftertaste”. (see the report here.)
If you want to buy one of these fantastic machines, you can find the Opus sold exclusively in store at Bed Bath and Beyond (be sure to use one of those 20% off mailer coupons). You can also find several models of iCoffee systems for sale at Macy’s.

I like the One Touch Brew and I would drink tea.
If I could spin, I would drink coffee.
The iCoffee Opus is my favorite.
I think I would like the Opus Mozart and I would do both coffee and tea
I like the one touch to make my coffee with.
I like the pour n brew express. I like that I can fit my huge mug in it. I would be drinking as lot of hot chocolate out of it especially now the weather is starting to be chilly.
Love the multi cup brewer and love coffee
I like the DaVinci, and I’d use it to make coffee.
I like the Opus the best – you can choose what size you want.
I would opt for hot tea and cocoa as well.
I love the Opus because of the Dial a Brew feature. I owned a Keurig a couple of years ago and there was no option for different amounts of coffee. I would use it to make coffee and tea!
