Does your wallet look like this? Stacks of loyalty cards and gift cards I bought to earn fuel rewards have my wallet busting at the seams! But I hate to take them out, in case I need them. What if an app would help get rid of your stack? Would you be interested? How about if it offered an easy way to pay and exclusive coupon offers too… I have your attention don’t I?!
Let me introduce you to CurrentC– a new mobile pay option that is so much more. Not only does it offer an easy checkout payment option, but you can sync your loyalty card to the payment to receive rewards as well as “clipping” exclusive in app coupons too. (And did I mention it’s a free app!)
Here in Columbus, OH you may have started to see signs for CurrentC popping up at your favorite stores. That’s because Cbus is lucky to be a beta testing location for this great app. So go download it today (Android and iOS) and give it a try. Here are some more details about my own experience with this money and time saving app.
First of all look at that list of loyalty card retailers – these are some of my fave stores anyways. The first place I had to try out this app was CVS. I loaded in my ExtraCare Card and picked a payment option (I had a CVS gift card to add into the app). Then I was off to the store to shop.
At checkout, the cashier scanned my CVS QR code (tap the “Checkout” button on home screen, then shop to see your store location options). Not only did it apply my ExtraCare account to the transaction- but I didn’t have to fumble in my wallet for payment. AND, before I shopped I noticed there was an exclusive coupon to clip in the app- it gave me a $5 ECBs reward just for using the app for the first time (offer available thru 11/19). You know I loved that!
Next I had to try our fave hometown burger stop- Wendy’s. This time instead in scanning a code, all I had to do was “tap” my phone to the CurrentC terminal at the register. It then automatically took off a coupon for a free Hot n Juicy hamburger (my son’s fave) and processed the payment. I love the coupons perk of this app, exclusive offers to save more!
I haven’t tried CurrentC at Target yet- but you better believe I added my RedCard, a birthday gift card and Cartwheel information to the app.
As I mentioned, CurrentC is currently only available in Columbus at the following retailers: Target, CVS, Wendy’s, Giant Eagle, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Exxon/Mobil, Sears and Kmart. I have seen the list of retailers they hope to have join in the future and it’s full of more of your faves (Kohl’s, Hobby Lobby, Meijer and Lowes to name a few). I have a feeling CurrentC is going to be on my top 5 apps list, very soon!
Have you seen the CurrentC signs around town? Have you tried it yet? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
