I have mentioned renting textbooks in the past and have come across another great option- CampusBookRentals.com. Here are some of the perks in choosing CampusBookRentals over other sites:
- Save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
- Free shipping both ways
- Can highlight in the textbooks
- Flexible renting periods
- Live Customer Support
- Referral program- Earn $ when friends rent too!
I was curious to see some of the savings for myself. So I looked up a book I had to buy back in 1997 when I started my Masters in Social Work program, Direct Social Work Practice : Theory and Skills. WOW! They only were asking $28.41 to rent it till December I know for a fact I paid more than that for it 15 years ago! (Now it collects dust on my shelf! Remember, I am also a “packer” and can’t seem to get rid of some things!).
You also should know by now that I love when you can save and give at the same time! CampusBookRentals feels the same way. That’s why they make a donation to Operation Smile with every rental. Operation Smile is an international children’s medical charity that heals children’s smiles (for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate) And forever changes their lives!
Also, if you are on Twitter- be sure to follow CampusBookRentals-@textbookrentals for Free t-shirts, secret coupons, giveaways and scholarship info too!
Need a little laugh on this Friday. Watch this video. Pretty funny (and informative between the chuckles too!) CampusBookRentals.com FAQ’s:

Renting books is definitely the way to go. I graduated college almost 2 years ago and I remember the books being so expensive. It’s crazy because you only use them for a semester and then when you go to re-sell them, the professor is either using a newer version (and yours is no longer accepted) or you don’t get anywhere near what you paid for it. This sounds like a great site. If I were in school right now, I’d be renting my books.

Since my kiddos are in Elem. I had no idea about these sites until my college aged niece was asking about ways to save on text book. Genius idea!
