When I was a kid, my mom had this little “table top sweeper” (for lack of better term).  It was a little rectangular box that had a rotating brush inside.  You would run the box across the table and Voila!  The brush would “sweep” up all the crumbs.

This same concept is being used in the newest product from Swiffer called the Swiffer Sweep & Trap.  This new member of the Swiffer clean team uses the same dry cloths we all love- but adds in a rotating rubber blade to pick up pieces of dirt both big and small.

I also have to say… My son (7 yr old).  Loves the Sweep & Trap!  He loves to figure out “how things work”.  He studied the blades for about 10 min when we first pulled it out of the box.  Now when I need to “occupy” him for a few min I pull out the Sweep & Trap and let him go to work!  I think it is a bit of a challenge for him to see how full he can get the clean out tray (which is easy to empty- he does that all by himself too!)
