I recently was given the opportunity to replace some of my old incandescent light bulbs with new GE reveal halogen bulbs. As you may (or may not) know, in January good old incandescent bulbs will no longer be manufactured due to their inefficiency. Technology has not only lead us to create more efficient lighting options, but “cleaner” light too. Take a look at my before and after shots of my little half bath. It is subtle, but see how the old bulbs left a “yellow” haze, while the new GE reveal bulbs have a brighter, “cleaner” glow.
Personally, I have always hated CFL bulbs because of having to properly dispose of them. With halogen light bulbs, you can just throw them out in your regular garbage (definitely a plus for me!). GE also makes LED (and those CFL) bulbs. And GE is coupon friendly too! Go get a printable coupon for $1 off on GE reveal lighting product. (exp 45 days after print)

Here is a little more info on the new GE Reveal Bulbs:
All GE reveal® bulbs offer clean, full spectrum light which enhance colors and patterns while filtering out the dull yellow rays of most bulbs, turning your room from ordinary to extraordinary. With reveal® the whites appear whiter, and the reds appear redder.
The new reveal® LED also offers big energy and cost savings, lasting more than a decade based on three hours of use each day. It is engineered to have the same familiar size and shape of an incandescent bulb as traditional incandescents will no longer be manufactured in the United States as of January 2014 due to their energy inefficiency and changing energy regulations. The new reveal LEDs will come in 40- and 60-watt replacements, as well as a popular BR-30 shape for recessed fixture down-lighting.
The reveal® line also includes energy-efficient halogen which use 28% less energy than regular incandescent reveal® bulbs, compact fluorescents (CFL), decorative bulbs, and more.

Sad to say this, but every room would be getting a light bulb makeover! My lighting is terrible with the bulbs I have & the placement of the lights & outlets themselves.
