Each year there is one item that my kids always like to help me make- white candy coated Pretzels! Not only do we love to have these for family get together’s, but they are also super easy to giveaway. Everyone from teachers, classmates, bus driver and neighbors get a few of these salty/sweet treats from us. We started the tradition a few years ago because the “recipe” was simple for preschoolers to help with (they especially like adding the sprinkles). We recently started doing Oreos too. Who can resist that!
This year I bought the supplies at Meijer. On top of being easy to make, Meijer makes them affordable too! Meijer brand pretzels are often on sale for just $1-2 a bag. And I found a coupon- that doubles- to make the Oreos a great deal too! $0.50/1 Nabisco Oreo Cookies printable. Melt the candy coating in the microwave, dip/pour over the pretzels and then sprinkle!
Wrap them up in some festive food wrap, add a gift card and tie a bow! Voila! A sweet little treat to show someone you are thinking of them this Christmas. And you get the memory of making them- all for a frugal price!
This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks and Meijer. The Family tradition/”recipe” and opinions are truly my own!
