In the past Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores have handed out FREE trees on Earth Day as part of their One Million trees campaign When I called 800 number today, the customer service rep said, yes they would be giving out Free tress on 4/22/13. (Well at first he said Saturday the 23rd, which leads me to think he was looking at old info)
BUT I called both my local stores and they said NO. This year they are giving out FREE packets of tomato seeds, while supplies last. This promotion begain at both of my stores this past weekend.
So definitely call your store for participation. And I will let you know if I get confirmation on any other offers.

I called the Lowe’s in Athens, Tennessee today. They’re not doing anything for Earth Day 2014. Of course, not giving out the free seeds probably saved me a few bucks. Last year I dropped a small sum on plant stakes and tomato cages after taking advantage of the giveaway. 🙂
