Kalahari Resort in Sandusky Ohio Is Always Sunny for Family Fun

Weather in Ohio can be unpredictable! March can see temperatures in the 20s to 50s all in the same week! So when my family was looking for an Ohio staycation spring break destination, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky was top of our list. They certainly grabbed our attention right away with their “always 84 degrees and sunny” motto!

We are also not the type of family to just sit back and relax on vacy. We love to play and be active! So what would be more perfect than to visit America’s Largest Indoor waterparks (173,000 sq. ft. – WOW!) featuring a number of thrilling slides, a water coaster, lazy river, wave pool, special kids’ areas, and more!

I know my kids are going to love the new Storm Chaser, part water slide, part video game; all fun! And now open at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio.

And I hear Kalahari Resort in Sandusky is getting even better! Have you heard of the float tank craze? Well the Spa Kalahari and Salon will be introducing a Float Tank this spring! You’ll float, suspended in a bath of Epsom salt or magnesium sulfate and learn how to relax in the deepest sense of the word—weightless, silent, peaceful.

 

 

 

And while you are floating, dad and the little ones can be checking out Bugs Burrow (coming this summer). The newest attraction for the smallest guests will give them a chance to imagine what it would be like if they were the size of a bug while they splash, play and have fun!

The B-Lux Grill & Bar is also coming soon to the dining options at Kalahari. Home of handcrafted burgers and shakes made with fresh ingredients that are locally sourced.

The Safari themed indoor waterpark will help us feel like we are in a much warmed climate if the Ohio whether is not cooperating. But if we luck out and get an actual spring for our visit Kalahari Resort also has an outdoor ropes course and zip lining for us to explore. As well as other dry-activities like, the big game arcade room, indoor glow golf, laser tag, 3-D motion theatre, seasonal outdoor waterpark, on-site dining options and Spa Kalahari and Salon with Halotherapy. They also offer Kids’ activities daily, including crafts and character appearances for a full resort experience.
