How to Save Money at Fresh Thyme Market

Is Fresh Thyme Market one of your favorite places to shop? It is one of mine. But I often get asked how to save money at Fresh Thyme. Once you start to look at the different deals, specials and offers; they make it easy to save money at Fresh Thyme! The bottom line is that you just need to know how.  Don’t worry, I have listed my favorite ways for you to save below. Let’s start with the #1 tip!

Shop Double Ad Wednesday for Extra Savings

If you are an ad shopper (you should be!), be sure to rearrange your schedule for the new Fresh Thyme ad to release on Wednesdays! Fresh Thyme Double Ad Wednesdays are the best day to shop!  This means you can shop from both the previous week’s sale advertisement, as well as the newest ad for the week beginning on Wednesday. Who doesn’t love to double dip? (Note: in some regions the double ad day is on Thursday, so just double check your double ad day.)

Shop Only for Select Items

Fresh Thyme may not be your one stop shop for all your grocery needs. If you are willing to make a stop at another store for pantry items, Fresh Thyme produce and meat prices often beat larger grocery chains. The savings on fresh produce and stocking up on great quality meat (chicken and ground beef in particular) are worth the extra stop at Fresh Thyme. And always be sure to follow that first tip and shop on the double ad day for more low prices on produce, meat and even dairy items.

Join the Fresh Thyme Mailing List

Like many popular stores, Fresh Thyme has their own mailing list. If you are not signed up to receive emails from Fresh Thyme, you are missing out. By joining their mailing list, you will be one of the first to find out about fantastic new deals and upcoming events. You will also receive store coupons, through both email and snail mail. Download the Fresh Thyme App

Fresh Thyme has jumped on the app bandwagon and there are great savings inside. Not only will you be able to see the weekly flyer (great for those double ad days), but there are also digital coupons you can use too. Simply connect your account to your loyalty card, clip the coupons, scan at the register and they will apply at checkout. They also have “virtual” punch cards in the app; buy 10 of an item get the 11th free.  Always check the Fresh Thyme app right before you shop for the deals.

Yes Fresh Thyme Takes Coupons

It is no secret here on Mission to Save that couponing will save you (a ton) of money.  And it’s great to know that Fresh Thyme accepts coupons! And, did you know that there are coupon books located at the registers too? Before you get to shopping the aisles make a stop at the registers and pick up a coupon booklet for free! Also don’t forget to check the Fresh Thyme app and  your email for additional coupons. You can also take advantage of grocery rebate apps like Checkout 51 and Fetch that don’t specify store location for redemption.  Another way to double dip at Fresh Thyme.

Check Your Social Media Accounts

Are you following the Fresh Thyme Facebook page or official Twitter account? If you are not, you should! You never know when a special event or sudden temporary sale will pop up. By checking their social media accounts, before you head out the door, you’ll be sure not to miss any goodies. Watch for In Store Promotions and Community Activities. 

If you go at just the right time, you may happen to find an in store promotion or two going on. From time to time, Fresh Thyme will have special demonstrations that will allow you the opportunity to try free samples or even earn free gift cards! Also, some stores have begun to provide free community activities like kids story time.  These events are not only fun, but may just have a freebie or offer included as well.

Take Advantage of Bulk Items

Are you tired of having to buy items that only come in large quantities, when you only need a small amount? Waste no more! Fresh Thyme has a great selection of bulk products. If you know you are not going to use an entire bag of dry beans, check out the bulk bins to get just the right amount for your family. Or wanting to make those protein packs instead of buying them? (so much more cost effective)  Check out the bins for great nut options.

Free Snacks for the Littles

Not every store will have this, but watch for a Free “Farm Stand” kids snack station at your Fresh Thyme. Usually these are located near the front of the store (to get the shopping trip started right) or in the produce section.  What a nice little perk to help mom stick to her list (no “can I” have) and get the shopping done a little quicker to save her time too! And check out the offerings, not just a banana or apple. Mom might just have to sneak a bite of the Lara bar too!

Rain Checks? Yes, Please!

There is nothing worse than heading to the store for a particular ad item that is marked at an unbeatable price, but is out of stock. Not to worry! Just grab a rain check for the item and pick it up on any of your next shopping trips for the same great price.
