So here is how I styled this swing dress- One Dress 2 Ways
I will admit I was a little nervous about how this one would fit my shortie frame. But I stepped out of my comfort zone and gave it a shot.
First of all I LOVE the color options. The rich jewel tones are perfect for fall. And I might have to go back and get a black too. Because everyone needs a comfy, versatile black dress!
After seeing that color in person, I knew exactly how I would style the first look. Hubs went to India several years ago on a business trip. He brought me back a beautiful seed bead necklace… that I’ve never really had the “right” outfit to wear with it. I think the colors compliment each other well. I added the skinny belt to cinch in my waist. Then topped (or bottomed) it off with a pair of black booties for a classic, “date night” look.
For my next look I went a little more sporty- and definitely more “seasonal”. What’s more Fall in Ohio than black riding books and a quilted vest (with fab gold and leather details). Since the vest has plenty of gold details, I decided to try something a little more petite for jewelry. I love the sweet little honeycomb trio- reminds me of my 3 little bees! (See a similar pair of honeycomb earrings here.)
What you can’t “see” in the post is how soft the material is on this dress. And with just the right touch of stretch.
How would you style this on trend swing dress?
For reference, I am wearing a Large (usually wear a 10). Thanks to Cents of Style for helping me step out of my fashion comfort zone by sending me the Remi Swing Dress for this post. All opinions are my own.
