I must admit I have a slight obsession with what I call, a “mommy sippy cup”. You know those tumbler cups with the screw on lids and straws. I am not very good at remembering to drink enough water each day, but something about my “sippy cup” keeps me on track. So I was ecstatic when Caribou Coffee sent me their new Amy’s Ombre Cold Cup to review. I LOVE IT! It is definitely more durable than most of the cheapy tumblers I have bought before. And the straw is awesome too (not made of that really hard plastic that can “shatter”). And even better, they sent something for the hubs too! You know I am not a coffee drinker- but coffee might be the DH’s obsession (other than me of course! ;))! So the Amy’s Stainless Steel Tumbler was perfect for him! He likes that it has a screw top to keep it secure on his commute. (instead of just popping it on and off).
What’s even better about these two items is they are part of the Amy’s Blend Collection in partnership with CancerCare. Caribou’s original roastmaster, Amy Erickson, lost her battle to Breast Cancer in 1995. So every year they pay tribute to Amy by giving back to men and women touched by this disease. From 9/29-11/7/12, 10% of all proceeds from Amy Collection items (coffee, tea and merch) will be donated to CancerCare (non-profit providing Free support services to anyone affected by cancer).
Also, thru November 7th, Caribou Coffee will donate $1 to CancerCare for every new Facebook like on their page. That’s a small thing we can all do to add our support.

As BOTH a avid water drinker (or at least try to be! – and a breast cancer survivor) I love the Pink Cold Cup – but I am also a dedicated coffee drinker – so I’d also love to have the Stainless Steel Tumbler. I know I would make good use of both – unless my Honey/Hubby claims them for himself first (I’ll probably at least manage to hang on to the Pink Cup!) Thanks!
