Bloomberg Article Reports Target Beats Walmart in Price This Month

The hubs found an interesting article on Bloomberg this morning. This month Target had lower prices than Walmart for the first time since October. (Article also said, Kmart’s prices were higher than Target and Walmart by more than 23 percentage points. Not a shocker, no wonder their stores are closing.)

Consumers who shop at discount chains “are trying to stretch their budgetary dollars as much as possible,” Jennifer Bartashus, an analyst for Bloomberg Industries in Skillman, New Jersey, said in an interview. “They will be driven to whatever store offers the better value.” (Bloomberg Article)

Um, yeah!! So which chain to you prefer: Walmart or Target? I’m a Target girl myself.
