Binge Watch on Netflix – TV Series from Then and Now #StreamTeam

Recently hubs and I discovered a little NBC series called Blacklist.  And where did we find this winner?  On Netflix!  We also discovered the term “Bing Watch”- ha! Ok so we did not stare at the TV for an entire day while we watched every single episode and our kiddos had to fend for themselves.  But we did end up watching an entire season in about 2 weeks- and I think that’s just fine!  Here are some of the reasons why Binge Watching on Netflix is so easy:

1. There is so much variety in shows! Not only does Netflix have it’s own exclusive series, but they also have them from all the networks. You can do reality TV, dramas, sci-fi and family faves.  There is certainly something for every taste.
2. No commercials or fast forwarding! This may be one of our favorite things. No need to mess with FFing thru (or worse actually watching) the commercials. Commercials are just for the Superbowl right? 😉 You can just sit back and relax.  This is why you can watch a few episodes in one sitting too.  The average 1 hour show has 12-15 min worth of commercials! So take out those out and you have more time to fall in love (or hate) with the characters and plot lines.
3. Cheaper than cable! If you are willing to be a season or two off, Netflix might just be the reason you finally cut the cable cord.  Streaming plans start at just $7.99 a month (and you can get a month FREE here too)
4. Get caught up on the latest shows or reconnect with a classic! Our fave Blacklist is actually a very new series.  It is currently airing the second season (so we will have to wait a bit to watch it on Netflix- no way we are actually watching it live now. 😉 ) Netflix has many of the current network and cable faves.  So if you see all your peeps talking about Blue Bloods or Breaking Bad, but you have never seen them… jump on Netflix and get caught up!  I also love some of the awesome oldies but goodies on the TV series list.  Introduce your kiddos to The Wonder Years or Knight Rider.  You have to browse thru the list, some of those titles made me smile (and brought back lots of memories!)
