Yes that’s right Barbie has entered the world of brick building! With the popularity of the Lego Friends line for girls, Mega Bloks has joined the action. And in a very smart way, with a classic fave- Barbie. These Barbie sets appeal to your little girl’s desire to build with brother’s bricks, while offering a pinktastic Barbie experience too!
I was given the opportunity to try out the Barbie Mega Bloks products with my kids and some neighbors too. As you can probably imagine- they are a hit! We put together the Build ‘n Style Luxury Mansion first. Each room has a little platform that you build on (bed, or toilet or kitchen appliances), then you can move that platform around to rearrange which room goes where. And the separate room pieces also move so you can make your mansion look different each day. My twins (son too) came home from school for a week and went straight to the Mansion to play (and for like an hour each time!)
Overall I think this line from Mega Bloks is super smart- gives girls the joy of building with a fun flare! And like I said before, since it is a “building” set, even my sons got involved with putting the sets together. The only down side I have (and I have always thought this about Mega Blocks) sometime the pieces are a little difficult to click in place or come apart once in place. But this would not stop me from purchasing this product in the future. In fact I just recommend Barbie Mega Bloks to a friend who was looking for a birthday gift idea for a 10 year old girl (from her son).
So… here’s your chance to try out these great sets too. Thanks to MommyParties, I will be giving away two of the sets that I got to try out- The Build ‘n Style Fashion Stand and Build ‘n Style Ice Cream Cart sets (retail is $10 each) . I am trying a new giveaway form- so good luck!
