AntMan – Offers Big Fun, In Theatres Today! (7/17/15)

 

If you are looking for a fun summer movie, check out AntMan (n theatres on 7/17/15).  The latest Marvel film not only packs a punch, but is full of laughs too.  This is definitely a more lighthearted “superhero” movie and might be perfect for those who don’t usually like the sci-fi/superhero genre.  And I just loved the interaction between Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas (oh yeah Douglas has still got it!)

One question I often get asked after screening movies is about age appropriateness.  We tend to be very conservative on what our kids watch, so I like to share my thoughts on age range.  While this movie is rated PG-13 (mostly for a few curse words),  I wouldn’t hesitate to take Andrew (11).  As far as Marvel movies go, this is definitely the most kid-friendly.  The “violence” is not over the top or gorey.  And there really are some very funny scenes.  Andy and I left the theatre saying it was like a Marvel take on “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”.  😉

And for you Marvel buffs… You have to wait until almost the end of the movie for the Stan Lee appearance.  But as usual, it’s a hoot!
