Our kiddos often have lots of “wants” (especially this time of year). And often these wants are just more of the more they already have. But when my twins came to me a couple months ago and said they “wanted” their own bibles… That was certainly a request I was happy to grant. I think this request was spurred spurred on by the fact that they are getting more confident in their reading skills and they have wonderful Sunday School teachers who really encourage them to bring their own Bibles to read from. So I headed off to the Family Christian website to find some fun bibles to match their personality.
Family Christian has such a great variety of Bibles for Kids– different translations, styles and prices. We opted for the ICB (International Children’s Bible) translation because it is a good transitional version. It was quite hard for me to choose one for my “Pink”- so many pretty styles that I knew she would love! I opted for the Princess Bible with the rhinestone magnetic clasp. For my Luke, the Holy Bible with zipper closure and camping theme was a perfect fit.
And I am so excited to tell you that thru 12/24 CHILDREN’S BIBLES ARE 50% OFF!! I love, love, love that this sale will make gifting a Bible this Christmas an affordable option! Here are some of the titles on sale:

Bibles are a great gift idea. I remember when I was about 10 when I first got my bible and it was personalized! I thought that was the coolest thing. My brother loves the Family Christian book store. I wonder if I can get an online gift card as a last minute gift idea?

This sale is awesome! I wish it had been going when I purchased my teenagers new Bible. We opted for the NIV True Images Bible for Teen Girls. Love it! It addresses the issues our teens are dealing with in a straightforward, age appropriate manner and really helps them engage by offering devotions and opportunities for reflection throughout the pages. I am so thrilled to have these quality resources at my fingertips to foster my children’s spiritual growth.

Amanda- thanks so much for commenting! And as a mama of a little girl… I will definitely be keeping that Bible title in mind! Sounds like an awesome resource! I know one day her “princess” bible will need an upgrade! 😉 (It will be here before I know it)

Thank you for sharing this! My kids have had Precious Moments Bibles for a few years but decided they wanted new Bibles for Christmas – a better fit for their ages (5 and 7). The online sale is great, but I really wish we had a Family Christian store here in Columbus! 😉

As a kid, my mom used to buy me children’s bibles similar to these and my sisters and I enjoyed them so much! They can really help children understand the stories and lessons in the bible.
