It’s 2019 and Disney is bringing the 90s back! Starting with live action Aladdin (now playing) and followed up by Toy Story 4 (June 21) and CGI/live action Lion King (July 19 ), Disney studios are breathing new life into these classic faves. And let me tell ya, after seeing a screening of Aladdin…
90s kids with kids will not be disappointed! 
I think just about anyone who ever saw the incomparable Robin Williams create “THE” Genie had concerns that Will Smith would be able to pull it off. But I can say, he pulled it off- with flying colors (of blue). Just the right bit of humor and hip hop to make the character his own and bring it into the 21 century.
And how about stepping into a Live role of an iconic Disney princess? Naomi Scott was flawless! From the beautiful costumes to the new song- it all comes together in this 2019 remake. And she’s truly everything you want Jasmine to be- feisty, strong and fabulously beautiful. I also loved the quirky addition of Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Jasmine’s handmaid.
Here’s just a little taste that will no doubt leave you wanting more- the songs, the dancing, the costumes, the dancing, the story, the dancing. I think we all will find a new friend in Disney’s Aladdin!
