We have a bag of Christmas books that comes out once a year on the day after Thanksgiving.  Because these books don’t stay out all year long, these special Christmas books become like new each year.  And the kids love to (re)read them in preparation for Christmas.

(Update: even as they grow older, they love to get the precious bag of holiday books out with the seasonal decorations each year.  Such a wonderful tradition!)
