Star Lanes Polaris is partnering with the Family Mentor Foundation to help provide food to hungry children by hosting Give and Game, Nov. 1-Dec. 6. By donating a box of granola bars, instant oatmeal, peanut butter or individual size fruits or vegetables, Star Lanes will give donors a $5 game card or free kid’s entrée coupon.
The Family Mentor Foundation provides Buddy Bags of food to children who rely heavily on school provided meals so that they have food over the weekend. The need is great. Currently there 1 in 5 children in America are hungry. The Family Mentor Foundation currently serves seven schools in Columbus and Worthington and at those schools, there are 1200 children on a wait list.
My kiddo’s school is working on a service project to help the Family Mentor Foundation- it’s a worthy cause for sure. I also just signed up for us to help pack the “Buddy Bags”. Lots of ways to help out this great non-profit organization reach more kids!
