Activity trackers are all the rage. Finally they are making some of them more “cute”. But for many of us, we have the boring black band. Even if you have a cute color, there are occasions when you just want to look more polished- but still keep track of those steps. So here is my Fitbit Hack, to make your Fitbit fashion!
Clunky Fitbit Fashion Faux Pax
I recently had two of those occasions. Business conferences can mean lots of steps (to and from airport, heading out to sightsee near the venue and the after parties). You want to make a great first impression and that Fitbit is just bland. And how about weddings?! Dancing the night away at the celebration is awesome for counting steps- but a Fitbit is hardly wedding chic.
Fitbit Hack – Frugal Fashion Fix for Fitbit!
I looked into the “official” jewelry covers made for various activity trackers, but they cost an arm and a leg! Some Fitbit accessories are almost as much as the tracker itself! So I came up with my own Fitbit Fashion Hack! In my jewelry stash I found a beaded cuff and voila I found my solution. The one I already owned was multi-colored, which is great for casual wear.
But I wanted something for more formal events, so I found this pearl beaded cuff on Amazon. Love it! And I also found a black and silver one at CVS of all places. The key to this hack – is all in the cuff. What works best is not a solid circle bangle or elastic based bracelet (they tend to fall “off” the Fitbit). But what works best is having that open end on the back of the cuff to fit over your band.
I knew I was on to something with the cuff idea, so I headed over to my fave Cents of Style to see if they had any options. I was so giddy to find that the Kambria Leather Fringe Cuff is also a perfect fit! And that on trend fringe is even more perfect that than the beaded cuffs because it really covers the whole boring band.
The ladies at Cents of Style loved my idea and want you all to look fab in your Fitbit too! 😉 So how about an exclusive deal on the Kambria?! Use the code MTSCUFF to bring the Kambria Cuff down to $14.95 (+ Free Shipping)!
So what do you think? Would you wear it? What ways do you accessorize your Fitbit?
Cents of Style provided me with a Kambria Cuff for this post. I think it looks fab and am happy they are offering my readers an exclusive promo code discount as well.
