The Dispatch Fall Home and Garden Show and Holiday Fest is happening Sept. 11-13 at the Ohio Expo Center. Show will feature feature more than 200 home and garden exhibitors, a holiday marketplace, a variety of events and demonstrations for the whole family, celebrity guests and more. The show is also giving away a total of $20,000 in prizes including $5,000 to help pay for the lucky winners’ home improvement projects. I love to got to these shows to get DIY inspiration (and sometimes some freebie goodies along the way). Speaking of freebies- Saturday is Kid’s Day at the show. Check out these fun activities for the kiddos. AND kids 12 and under get free admission (any day of the event)
Kids Day Saturday, Sept. 12:
- Kids Day! Meet Marvel Universe LIVE’s Iron Man and Captain America and animals from the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.
- Receive a free souvenir Ohio State University UNDISPUTED CHAMPIONS poster based on the post-championship Dispatch front page (a $14.95 value).
- Mingle with former Buckeye great Chris “Beanie” Wells and watch OSU vs. HI at 3:30 p.m. at the Everdry Sports Viewing Lounge.
- Preview the Halloween and Christmas holidays by decorating pumpkins and visiting Santa Claus.
Admission to The Home & Garden Show and Holiday Fest is $6 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Complimentary tickets will be available at Central Ohio Lowe’s locations beginning Sept. 1. Parking is $5.00 (except with Free Voucher for parking on Friday). Show hours are Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. For a list of vendors as well as daily events, activities, go here.
