I am finally jumping on the bandwagon with this new app called Raise (Apple, Android or one your computer too). Basically it is a place to buy and sell gift cards. If you have cards you don’t want, you can sell through Raise and get cash for them. Also, it’s an awesome place to buy discounted gift cards (the ones other people are selling) too.
I was a little skeptical at first, but then I saw several of my blogging friends posting pics of the gift cards- real legit cards that work! So I’m in too!
And you can get up to $10 off your first purchase. Here’s how:
Join here and use my referral code during signup : MHOOVER to get a $5 credit (be sure to verify your phone number to get the credit)
NEW CODE! Then use code BUS10 at checkout for another $10 off!
I was able to use my $15 toward 2 $10 Graeter’s Gift Cards. They were at the discounted price of $8.50 each. So in the end, I only paid $2 for $20 worth of gift cards!! These will be great teacher gifts!
Some cards will be delivered via mail (actual gift cards) and some will be sent via email. And there are a ton of cards to choose from! Note, the most popular brands (Starbucks, Panera, Kroger, etc) at low denominations are all selling out fast. But they seem to get restocked pretty regularly. Also, if you are on your desktop (not app) you can set an alert for when sold out cards are back in stock.
I highly recommend trying Raise. I’m not sure how long the $10 code will work. Let me know what you think and what gift cards you snagged!
UPDATE: just a heads up. If you have $15 in credit to use and want to buy a $15 card, it will only use $14 of your credit and charge you $1. A Customer Service agent told me you will always be charged at the least $1 toward a credit card (just for tracking on the purchase). But don’t worry, you don’t lose the remaining credit- use it on your next order.
