This year our family decided to head back to Myrtle Beach for vacation. Thanks to Vacation Myrtle Beach we were able to check out another one of their great properties –Captain’s Quarters. (read about our Crown Reef visit here).
Arrh! Ok there I got it out of my system! 😉 If you are looking for a very family friendly resort in the heart of Myrtle Beach- and at a great value, definitely look into booking voyage at Captain’s Quarters. Obviously the main draw is being just steps away from the sand and surf of Myrtle Beach, but check out these other amenities.
Captain’s Quarters has 15 pools, lazy rivers and hot tubs. Several of these are indoor. It was really great to be able to have my kiddos take a break from the sun, but not the fun (especially my little fair skinned boy). And of course with a name like Captain’s Quarters, there had to be a pirate tie in. The Shipwreck Lagoon was great fun- like a little mini waterpark.
If the pools aren’t enough to keep the kiddos busy- check out the Captain’s Quarter’s Kidz Korner activities. Almost everyday there is a whole list of great fun activities for the kiddos. Crafts, games and more! One day there was even a man on stilts making balloon animals! What kid wouldn’t love that (and actually there were several adults in line for the balloons too!)
I love how the Vacation Myrtle Beach properties do more than just provide lodging- they provide a whole vacation experience, right on property. Whether it’s a DJ on the pool deck, a fire show at night or the Kidz Korner- you really can have a blast without leaving the resort! Oh and did I mention there is a full bowling alley on site. Seriously- so much fun!
And speaking of not having to leave the property… not even for meals. Of course there is the awesome Loco Gecko restaurant- perfect for casual lunch and dinner (I highly recommend the caesar wrap!) Captain’s Quarters is also home to Vista 9 and an awesome all you can eat breakfast buffet. Let me tell you- we all filled up! Waffles, yogurt, eggs, fruit, bacon, grits and more- there is something for everything. The price is $9.95 for adults and $5 for kids and really I think that is a great deal for an all you can eat meal at Myrtle. So fill up- on food and the view!
I could post 20 more pictures of our trip. Once again we made wonderful memories and had a blast spending time as a family!
I have shared these pics and more from this trip on my Instagram account. See them all via the hashtag #MissionCarolinas15 (and be sure to follow me too)!
A big thank you to Captain’s Quarters and Vacation Myrtle Beach for hosting my family for this visit. We had a wonderful time and I am happy to report our experience. All opinions are my own.
