I don’t know about you… but I have a television hangover! It’s that dreaded time right after the Olympics and right before all the Fall shows start up again. For 2 weeks all we watched was the Olympics- cheering on Team USA as they stacked up Gold upon Gold. But now I feel a bit of a let down. As we are getting back into our school schedule, that means kiddos are back on bedtime routine. And that gives the adults a little time to unwind too. And sorry hubs, I just can’t watch another wilderness man in the frontier “reality” show!
NETFLIX: The Cure for the Olympics Hangover
So if your family feels in a TV funk… Netflix to the rescue! Let some of these new and classic shows cure your Olympics hangover…
Stranger Things– Ok, so I have been hearing great things about this Netflix original series. Especially if you are an 80s kid. However, I am a chicken! I just couldn’t get past the “creepiness” BUT… I’m going to give it another shot. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one!
Anything Benedict Cumberbatch– Ever since binging Sherlock last summer, I am a Benedict Cumberbatch fan. And I am eagerly awaiting the premiere of his Marvel Movie Doctor Strange in Nov. So why not get a little smidge of this Brit before it hits theatres. (Did you know he’s one of the voices in Penguins of Madagascar!?)
Beat Bugs– For the kiddos, check out the new Netflix animated series Beat Bugs. 5 friendly bugs learn life lessons all to the tune of Beatles’s classics that parents will appreciate too.
Do you feel the post-Olympic letdown? What are you streaming on Netflix to cure it?
