For many of us, our “baskets” are overflowing with reasons to be Thankful. I am sure many of you have seen people on Facebook posting once a day for the month of November something for which they are thankful. Again this year I thought we all could join the Mission of Thanks together. Each day at 4 pm I will post a thread of thankfulness on Facebook. Add yours in the comments. If you are on twitter or Instagram, use the hashtag #MissionOfThanks to tag your daily response. (Be sure to Pin this for a reminder too!)
And to help us get thinking about gratitude, here’s some ideas. Follow the 30 Day of Thankfulness prompts below:
Please know, I understand that some of you may be going through a difficult time right now. My prayer is that this would be an encouragement to you- to seek out the blessing (no matter how “small”) of each day. For hope does not disappoint!
Romans 5:5 The Message (MSG) There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
I can’t wait to be encouraged by your posts! Be sure to share this with your friends too so they can join in the fun! 🙂
