There are a ton of apps for saving money that you can add to your smartphone. But I have narrowed down the list to my Top 5 must have apps (ok a couple are “categories” that include multiple apps). These are smartphone apps that I literally use daily and it’s a great place to start if you are new to money saving apps.
Best Apps to Help You Save Money
Favado: Great new grocery savings app. This app shows you all the current grocery sale prices and the coupons that go with the ad items. You can create your list on the go and then email home to print/cut the coupons. Read more here. Or sign up here.
Store Specific Apps: Ok, again there are several apps you can chose from in this category. Some of my faves include CVS, Kroger, Target Cartwheel and Meijer. These apps will connect to your loyalty card so that you can view available digital coupons and fuel points.
Grocery Rebate Apps– Ok so technically this is a list of about 7 apps, but they are all worth it. These apps allow you to receive “rebates” (cash!) on your grocery purchases. Plus some of them you can even stack with paper coupons too. See my full list of these grocery rebate apps and start saving/earning on your grocery purchases today. The app Checkout51 can save you $13 a year on produce alone! Did that get your attention? See the full list of rebate apps here.
RetailMeNot– Use this app on the go when you are shopping in store to find current coupons. Just search for the store you are in and see what coupons are available. The improved location-based coupons app for iPhone enable consumers to receive local coupon notifications for nearby stores at hundreds of shopping malls across the United States. (Download from iTunes or Android)
Shopkick: Earn points for “walking in” to stores and scanning items inside. These points can be redeemed for gift card rewards. Target is my fave on this app, also has coupons sometimes too. Get it here.
