Hurray! So I headed over to Toys R Us this morning on a Mission! And I won! I was able to price match the $37 price on both the Disney Infinity and Skylanders Swapforce. Why did I bother price matching instead of just going down the street to Walmart? Because I was able to earn Toys R Us Wish List Rewards! They told me I could not use the Wendy’s Kids’ Meal gift card offer since I was price matching (no “coupons” allowed with a price match) but the rewards were ok since they accumulate.
Price match tip:
Be sure to have it in writing. A print ad is best. But since the Walmart and Target prices today are online, that works too. I used this page on Walmart.com to show the prices on both items. Also note that Toys R Us has changed their policy to price match online ads. (See my pic from the store window.) So if a cashier says they can’t, politely ask to see where it says they can’t. You may run into a problem since the Walmart ad says “pre-Black Friday” event. However, hopefully that “pre” will save the day.
Honestly, I had no trouble whatsoever. But, be warned some other cashiers might not be so accommodating.
Good luck and I can’t wait to hear your price match stories!
