Random Acts of Kindness

As the Sunday morning interaction goes, “Peace be with you”…”And also with you!” (Read the inspiration behind the title of this series, here)

This month’s Pass the Peace random acts of kindness thought is about couponing! (Imagine that!)  How can coupons be part of a random act of kindness? You know that I like to do a lot of donating when I get a deal (or freebie). But what about the coupons themselves!?   Well, let me introduce you to a little something I call “the coupon fairy”.

Coupon Fairy

From time to time I have a really high value coupon that I just know my family won’t use- formula, pet food, or some product we don’t particularly care for.  Instead of just throwing out that “coupon cash”, I will leave the coupon on the shelf in the store next to the item that it applies to.  Now I am not talking about littering the store with my leftovers.  But take for example the formula “check” coupon in the picture.  That is worth a lot of $!  And someone should be able to make use of it if I can’t.

I usually leave a little note to let them know “the coupon fairy” left that coupon there just for them to use!  I  have even been the recipient of another fairy’s gift.  It’s the little things in life that can really make someone’s day.  Have you been a “fairy” or the recipient of a “fairy’s” kindness?  Would love to hear about it.  Leave a comment!

Do you have a great idea for a frugal act of kindness?  Contact me with the idea and I will give you the full cred in the next Pass the Peace post!
