Ellie Fitness Apparel – Form and Function!

As many of you know, I have been training for my first 5K  (the Color Palooza this weekend!).  My fave way to workout is by taking Zumba or Hip Hop classes.  But since hubs is a runner, I thought I would give it a shot! I don’t think I am going to hang up my dancing shoes, but I definetely have found one more way to stay active.

And what you wear when you workout can be just as important as staying hydrated.  A chafing strap, non wicking-fabric or just plain boring design can be a workout killer.  That is why I was excited when Ellie asked me to try a few of their pieces. Ellie mixes essential fashion-forward looks with high-tech performance activewear for the most stylish fitness experience you’ve ever had!

You know I am all about saving, but sometimes you have to splurge a little for staple pieces.  That’s how I feel about Ellie, snag a few staples and fill in the rest of your workout wardrobe with bargains.  And Ellie pieces are well worth it!  Quality construction and chic designs.  Plus look at it this way, have you been coveting some of those Lululemon pieces you see at the gym?  Ellie offers the same functionality and fashion forward design at a better price.

For example, Lululemon’s popular No Limits Tank will set you back $64.  Ellie’s offers a 20% discount off your first order.  So, Ellie’s similar tank called “Fun in the Sun” is just $47.96 after the 20% discount.

OR Ellie also offers a Fit FashionistaClub. As a Fit FashionistaClub member you can choose any two pieces each month for only $49.95. No matter if you want two tops, or two bottoms or a combination of both. Choose any 2 pieces for $49.95.  This is a monthly “membership” but you can choose to “skip” any given month (they send you an email to remind you each month). So that would make these fab Ellie fitness apparel items just $24.96 each!

OK, so these pics of me in my pieces don’t really do them justice.  But can I say I LOVE the pants (Eclipse Legging).  I am “petite” so they are a bit long on me, but the legging style (opposed to a bootcut) hides that.  Truly I could live in these things!  And I love the sliming neon seams on the Ultraviolet Tank. Ellie also has accessories like headbands, a nice finishing touch.

Overall, I was very impressed with Ellie’s form and function- you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other. And if you go with the Fit FashionistaClub, the $25 price tag per item is fab too!

Have you heard of Ellie?  Willing to give them a try?  Ask me more about my pieces if you have questions.

Thanks to Ellie for providing me with the tank, leggings and headband for review.  They certainly helped inspire my training!
