There are a ton of apps for saving money that you can add to your smartphone. But I have narrowed down the list to my Top 5 must haves (ok a couple are “categories” that include multiple apps). These are smartphone apps that I literally use daily and it’s a great place to start if you are new to money saving apps.
Best Apps to Help You Save Money
Store Specific Apps: Ok, again there are several apps you can chose from in this category. Some of my faves include CVS, Kroger, Target Cartwheel and Meijer. These apps will connect to your loyalty card so that you can view available digital coupons and fuel points.
Grocery Rebate Apps– Ok so technically this is a list of about 7 apps, but they are all worth it. These apps allow you to receive “rebates” (cash!) on your grocery purchases. Plus some of them you can even stack with paper coupons too. See my full list of these grocery rebate apps and start saving/earning on your grocery purchases today. See list here.
RetailMeNot– Use this app on the go when you are shopping in store to find current coupons. Just search for the store you are in and see what coupons are available. The improved location-based coupons app for iPhone enable consumers to receive local coupon notifications for nearby stores at hundreds of shopping malls across the United States. (Download from iTunes or Android)
Shopkick: Earn points for “walking in” to stores and scanning items inside. These points can be redeemed for gift card rewards. Target is my fave on this app, also has coupons sometimes too. Get it here.
